Up to 100 players split across three teams fight for a randomized 2x2 km Control Zone inside a larger map, and the first team to 100 points wins. The team with the most players inside the zone scores. You start with $10,000, buy a custom loadout every life, and keep your cash from match to match. Teamplay pays too: reviving squadmates, transporting friendlies into the zone and controlling the objective all earn cash.
Each of the six roles has its own track: Assault, Medic, Recon, Support, Driver and Pilot. A shared WARDOG Progression Track runs alongside them. Season 02 (Update 0.2.0, October 15, 2026) cut the XP needed for role level 20 by 55%, from 250,000 to 111,500. It also added four weapons, four vehicles including the T-72B3 tank, three buildables and a rain weather preset.

Game data
Weapons
Vendor weapons include rifles, pistols, launchers and a Compound Bow. Their caliber and weight vary, and gated weapons need both progression and a one-time cash payment. Keep enough cash for the separate per-life purchase after you unlock one.
Vehicles
Vehicles give you ground transport, armor, artillery or a way to move people by air. Driver and Pilot levels gate most purchases, and the unlock fee is separate from what you pay each time you buy a vehicle. Save for the unlock and the next ride, then choose between passenger space and mounted weapons.
Attachments
Weapon attachments change sights, muzzle behavior, stability and magazine capacity. Each part has specific weapon compatibility, and some trade faster handling for steadier aim or more rounds. Role or WARDOG progression can unlock a part, with a one-time Unlock cost separate from its vendor purchase price.
Gear and Equipment
Gear lets you scout, heal, repair and carry supplies alongside your weapons. Unlocks come through the shared WARDOG track and individual roles, with a separate fee before you can buy gated items. A tool's equipment slot and a container's compartment shape can matter as much as its weight or capacity.
FOB Buildables
FOB buildables are the walls, doors, shelters, towers, support pieces and emplacements you place around your forward operating base (FOB). Each one has a Build Supplies cost. Most need a FOB, and many need a hammer of a set size. If you need cover without a FOB, Barbed Wire and Sandbag Walls are the cheap options.
Steam Achievements
WARDOGS Steam achievements cover kills, cash, survival and match wins. Some need a specific weapon or gear item, like the defibrillator charge. Others depend on how a whole match ends.
Role Unlocks
Every WARDOGS role has its own level track, and its weapons, gear and vehicles unlock at set levels along it. All six roles use the same XP curve, so reaching a given level takes the same total XP in each one. Shared WARDOG rewards run on a separate track and aren't part of any role's climb.
WARDOG Track
WARDOG level is the total of your six role levels, so leveling any role pushes this track forward. Each reward opens at a set WARDOG level, starting with the Judge revolver at level 1, and it takes a one-time cash fee to unlock. That fee is separate from the vendor price for items in each life.
Mounted Weapons
Vehicles carry cannons, machine guns and rocket pods, and each one stays with the vehicle it's mounted on. FOB emplacements add a short-range mortar, a manned M2 nest, a Stingray UAV launcher and anti-air systems. Flares and Vehicle Smoke are countermeasures rather than guns.
WARDOGS gameplay tips
- Chase the Hot Zone when you need cash. It pays double cash.
- Rebuy Last Loadout to skip rebuilding your kit. It fills the equipment vendor with your previous loadout, and you can add or remove items before you buy. Use it to repeat a setup that worked, then tweak the parts that didn't.
- Run Return Trips back to back. Each consecutive Return Trip adds $50 and 25 XP, up to 10 trips in a row. Drop the deliveries in the Control Zone to earn the bonus.
- Budget for the Medical Bag's two prices. An unlock cost is paid once to open an item, and the purchase price is paid each life you use it. The Medical Bag shows both: Season 02 moved it to Medic level 14, down from 24, and it costs $50,000 to unlock. Each life you bring one costs $1,800.
