Grand Theft Auto IV's radio turns every drive through Liberty City into a mix of hip-hop, rock, punk, jazz, funk, reggae, Latin music, electronic sets, ambient sound, talk shows, and player-supplied PC tracks. The station lineup also changes across base GTA IV, Episodes from Liberty City, and the PC Complete Edition, so edition notes matter as much as genre. This combined index covers releases with different station lineups; all 23 entries are not available together on every edition. The tracklists show the original soundtrack, and † marks a song identified as removed after 2018 licensing changes.

Stations
The radio wheel spans music, talk programming, and PC user-defined tracks. Check the overview for GTA IV, TBoGT, EFLC, and Complete Edition notes because several hosts, genres, and station slots change between releases.

How GTA IV radio works
Radio stations are selected through the in-vehicle radio controls. Most have a named host and a defined music format, while Integrity 2.0, Public Liberty Radio, and WKTT Radio use spoken programs instead. Independence FM is different again: it is a PC-only player for user-defined tracks rather than a fixed music broadcast.
The overview is especially important because the radio setup is not identical across every release. “GTA IV” describes the base-game version. “TBoGT” refers to The Ballad of Gay Tony, and “EFLC” refers to Episodes from Liberty City. Some stations keep their name but change hosts or music, while others are replaced by an episode-era station. PC Complete Edition availability is stated separately where needed.
Choosing a station by sound
Hip-hop, R&B, and soul
The Beat 102.7 plays contemporary hip-hop and R&B. DJ Green Lantern and DJ Mister Cee host the GTA IV version, while Funkmaster Flex and Statik Selektah take over in EFLC. The Classics 104.1 uses DJ Premier for old-school hip-hop, creating a clear split between contemporary and older styles in the base game.
The Vibe 89.8, hosted by Vaughn Harper, focuses on soul and R&B. These station identities are edition-sensitive: The Beat replaces The Classics in EFLC, and Vice City FM replaces The Vibe there. If a familiar station is absent, check the release before assuming the radio wheel is broken.
Rock, punk, and metal
Liberty Rock Radio is hosted by Iggy Pop and plays classic and alternative rock. Radio Broker, hosted by Juliette Lewis, leans toward contemporary rock. Liberty City Hardcore is heavier and changes sharply by release: Jimmy Gestapo hosts hardcore punk and crossover thrash in GTA IV, while Max Cavalera hosts an extreme-metal version in EFLC.
The three stations cover different sides of Liberty City's guitar music. Liberty Rock Radio is the broad classic and alternative option, Radio Broker is the contemporary choice, and Liberty City Hardcore is the aggressive specialist. The city may be permanently angry, but at least it sorts that anger by genre.
Electronic, disco, jazz, and ambient music
Electro-Choc plays electro house, hosted by François K in GTA IV and by the Crookers in The Ballad of Gay Tony and EFLC. K109 The Studio pairs Karl Lagerfeld with disco. Fusion FM, hosted by Roy Ayers, covers jazz-funk, jazz fusion, and acid jazz, while Jazz Nation Radio 108.5 uses Roy Haynes for classic jazz.
For calmer driving, The Journey plays ambient, chill-out, and new-age music under a Fruit computer voice. Self-Actualization FM, hosted by Audrey, provides ambient and chill-out music in its supported episode-era configuration. K109 replaces International Funk 99 in EFLC, while Self-Actualization FM replaces The Journey, Jazz Nation Radio, and Fusion FM there. Those are release changes, not additional stations that always appear beside the originals.
Funk, reggae, dancehall, and Latin music
International Funk 99 has Femi Kuti hosting funk and afrobeat. Massive B Soundsystem 96.9 uses Bobby Konders for contemporary dancehall, while Tuff Gong Radio uses Carl Bradshaw for reggae and dub. RamJam FM, hosted by David Rodigan, combines reggae, dub, and dancehall and replaces Tuff Gong Radio and Massive B in EFLC.
San Juan Sounds mixes reggaeton, Latin hip-hop, bachata, and merengue. Daddy Yankee hosts the GTA IV version, while Henry Santos hosts its later TBoGT and EFLC form. Vladivostok FM also changes substantially: Ruslana hosts an Eastern European mix in GTA IV, while DJ Paul hosts Eurodance and house in TBoGT and EFLC.
Talk radio
Integrity 2.0 is Lazlow Jones's talk station. Public Liberty Radio carries liberal-leaning talk programming, while WKTT Radio carries conservative-leaning programming. These should be compared by program style rather than music genre. They are useful when you want Liberty City's arguments delivered directly through the dashboard instead of waiting for a pedestrian to start one.
Edition and replacement guide
The most important release differences are:
- Independence FM is available only on PC and plays user-defined tracks.
- The Beat 102.7 replaces The Classics 104.1 in EFLC and uses different hosts there.
- K109 The Studio replaces International Funk 99 in EFLC.
- RamJam FM replaces Tuff Gong Radio and Massive B Soundsystem 96.9 in EFLC.
- Self-Actualization FM replaces The Journey, Jazz Nation Radio 108.5, and Fusion FM in EFLC.
- Vice City FM replaces The Vibe 89.8 in EFLC.
- Electro-Choc, Liberty City Hardcore, San Juan Sounds, and Vladivostok FM change host, format, or both between GTA IV and the episode-era versions.
RamJam FM, Self-Actualization FM, and Vice City FM are exclusive to the EFLC disc and the PC version of GTA IV: The Complete Edition under the supported details. Do not treat those stations as universal to every standalone GTA IV release.
Game boundary
The focus is Grand Theft Auto IV radio, with EFLC and Complete Edition notes included where they directly change station availability, hosts, or formats. That does not extend the scope to episode missions, characters, or other episode-only systems. GTA Online uses a different radio lineup and update history.
FAQ
Is Independence FM available on consoles?
No. Independence FM is a PC-only user-defined track player hosted by Gary Sheen. It does not use a fixed soundtrack like the standard music stations.
Why are some GTA IV radio stations missing in Episodes from Liberty City?
EFLC replaces several base-game stations. For example, The Beat replaces The Classics, K109 replaces International Funk 99, and Vice City FM replaces The Vibe.
Which stations are exclusive to the EFLC disc and PC Complete Edition?
RamJam FM, Self-Actualization FM, and Vice City FM carry that availability note. They should not be treated as universal to every standalone GTA IV release.
Does Vladivostok FM play the same music in GTA IV and EFLC?
No. Ruslana hosts a broad Eastern European format in GTA IV. DJ Paul hosts the TBoGT and EFLC version, which switches to Eurodance and house.
Which GTA IV stations are talk radio?
Integrity 2.0, Public Liberty Radio, and WKTT Radio are talk stations. Integrity is hosted by Lazlow Jones, while Public Liberty Radio and WKTT use liberal-leaning and conservative-leaning programming respectively.
Are GTA Online radio stations included?
No. GTA Online has its own station lineup and update history. EFLC and Complete Edition notes appear only where they change GTA IV's radio configuration.
