Roblox Ghost Driver beginner's guide

Updated on August 17, 2026 (8 days ago)

Ghost Driver is a PRE-ALPHA Roblox highway game by Tilted Vehicles. You hop in a car, cut through dense traffic at speed, and turn clean overtakes into Cash. Menus, cars, and rewards can still shift while the build is pre-alpha.

Live player counts sit on the Ghost Driver stats page. Active free Cash rewards are listed on Ghost Driver codes.

First-session path: learn the controls, keep combos alive, grab free Cash where it is offered, claim the free social car, then tune performance behind the dealership.

How you actually earn cash on the highway

WASD or the arrow keys drive. V changes the camera (including first person). Shift is handbrake and drift. L toggles headlights.

Your main income is the highway loop. Drive fast, overtake cleanly, and skim past traffic without wrecking. Clean near-misses and overtakes build a combo. Longer, faster combos pay more Cash. A crash ends the streak, so one bad clip into a truck wipes the multiplier you just earned.

Combo feedback shows on screen while you run. Early time is practice: hold a steady line, pass cars cleanly, and bank Cash before you try hero cuts.

You do not need every race win or quest clear on day one. Clean combo runs already fund early upgrades if you stay upright.

Earn cash without only grinding traffic

Highway combos pay the bills, but other free Cash sources help you climb faster.

Open the yellow Shop control on the HUD, switch to Rewards or Codes, type a code, and redeem. Current lists and copy buttons live on Ghost Driver codes. The team also posts new drops in the Ghost Driver Discord.

Daily and weekly quests sit on a HUD quest control (often flagged with an exclamation). Tasks usually cover distance, top speed, or time played. Grab them when they fit normal driving.

Player races use a marker near the dealership area under the fastest-lap board. Join for a short contest when you want variety. Treat races as a bonus, not your only farm.

Robux packs and boosts share the same shop. Skip them until the free loop makes sense.

Where to upgrade and customize your car

Claim the free starter-tier car once the social checklist is done:

  1. Play for about 30 minutes.
  2. Like the experience on Roblox.
  3. Favorite the experience.
  4. Join the Tilted Vehicles group.
  5. Claim at the free-car marker near the race spot by the dealership and fastest-lap board.

Marker placement can shift in pre-alpha, so follow the in-world claim prompt if the board layout looks different.

Spend Cash at the customization garages behind the dealership. Open Performance Tuning first so the car accelerates and holds speed better in traffic. Cosmetic Tuning and Paint & Tint handle looks; many cosmetics are free. Paid extras like underglow often cost Robux.

Put early Cash into engine and speed parts when they are available (engine, induction, fuel, weight, long block, engine swap). Add brakes and tires next so weaving stays controllable. Save drivetrain for later if the car already pulls fine. Leave random transmission gear-ratio edits alone until you know what each change does.

Handling upgrades make near-misses safer. Top speed without control just ends combos faster. Better upgrade stages unlock as you level from the same drive, race, and quest loop.

FAQ

Q.

Do you need Robux to start Ghost Driver?

No. Highway combos, quests, free codes, and the social free car cover the early loop. Robux packs and underglow-style cosmetics are optional.

Q.

Why did my Cash combo stop mid-run?

Crashing or wrecking into traffic ends the streak. Stay clean through near-misses if you want the multiplier to keep paying.

Q.

Where do Ghost Driver codes come from?

Redeem them in the in-game Shop under Rewards or Codes. Live lists sit on the Ghost Driver codes page, and the team also posts drops in the Ghost Driver Discord.

An avid Roblox player who loves exploring the small, niche games that quietly show up in my recommendations. I track new Roblox codes across social platforms and update them on Bloxodes as soon as they drop. I prefer writing guides based on real gameplay experience instead of plain surface level info, so players get tips that actually help in game. My favorite Roblox game is Egg Farm Simulator.
