The Base Wars 2012 Challenge in The Hunt: Roblox 20 has two parts, so winning a match is not the only step. Start the flag quest in the 2012 event hub, then pick up the flag in the event map and deliver it to the map-marked NPC. Complete that objective and the Base Wars Skirmish in either order, then return to the hub to claim the Manliest Man Award badge and matching UGC reward.
This guide follows the full route, including what to do if a loss only gives you partial progress or the reward remains locked after the match.
How to Start the Base Wars 2012 Challenge in The Hunt: Roblox 20
The Hunt: Roblox 20 runs from September 17 through September 28, 2026, according to Roblox's official event page. The hub unlocks years chronologically, so reach the 2012 portal through the earlier stages before expecting its reward to be claimable.
Enter the 2012 portal and go into its event hub. Speak with the NPC there to start the flag-collection objective. The flag pickup and delivery happen in the event map, while the combat objective takes place in Base Wars. You do not need a game pass, currency, or purchased weapon for this challenge.
You can complete the flag objective and the Skirmish in either order, but wait for both to register before returning to the hub. The two parts can be tracked separately, and the reward will not be ready until both have registered.
How to Complete the Base Wars Flag Quest
The flag objective begins with the NPC in the 2012 hub. Accept the request to retrieve and return the flag, then use the white arrow to find it in the event map.

- Follow the white arrow from the hub to the flag location.
- Walk up the hill inside the castle-like structure. The flag is on top of the hill.
- Press E on PC when you reach the flag to pick it up.
- Follow the map marker to the designated NPC and hand over the flag. The map objective is complete after the delivery.
Speaking with the first NPC starts the task, but the handoff is what finishes it. Make sure you pick up the flag and complete the marked delivery. You can finish the Skirmish before or after this map objective, but both objectives must register before you return to the hub.
How to Win a Base Wars Skirmish for The Hunt: Roblox 20
The Skirmish is a timed team round. When the timer ends, the team with the most kills wins, so you need to finish on the winning team for a full completion.

One Skirmish win completes the match requirement. A recorded loss gives 50% progress, so two completed losses can fill the requirement if the tracker applies the expected half-progress. Check the event tracker after every round instead of assuming that a loss cleared the objective.
For a practical early-round option, spawn the Battle Tank at your base and use it to help your team build kills. The tank is optional, not a requirement for the challenge, so focus on staying active and finishing the round on the team with the higher score.
Stay until the result screen or end-of-round result has registered. Leaving before the round finishes can prevent the win or partial progress from being applied to the Hunt objective.
How to Claim the Manliest Man Award UGC
After the flag delivery and Skirmish progress appear in the tracker, return to the 2012 event hub. The Manliest Man Award badge and UGC reward become claimable there.

Claim the reward in the hub, then use the white cube on the right side of the 2012 area to advance to the 2013 Challenge. If the reward is still locked, wait for the match result to register and confirm that the flag handoff and Skirmish tracker both show completion before trying the hub again.
Base Wars 2012 Challenge troubleshooting
- The match ended, but the reward is still locked: Check the tracker before leaving. A loss may show 50% progress rather than a full clear, which means you need another completed round.
- The flag objective is not complete: Returning to the 2012 hub after accepting the quest is not enough. Pick up the flag on the hill inside the castle-like structure and deliver it to the NPC marked on the map.
- The hub does not offer the 2012 reward: Make sure the 2012 stage has been unlocked through the event's chronological hub route, then return after both objectives have registered.
Once both progress bars are complete, the hub claim is the final step. After you collect the Manliest Man Award, the white cube lets you continue through the event's next year.
