Getting started in Roblox can be overwhelming, with thousands of games (or "experiences") to choose from. As a beginner, you’ll want to start with games that have easy-to-understand gameplay, simple interfaces, and no complicated systems like intricate currencies or massive inventories of items.
Below, we’ve compiled some of the best simple Roblox games that are beginner-friendly, fun for all ages, and span a variety of genres. These games require little to no tutorial and are enjoyable “time killers” that can hook you for long play sessions without ever feeling too complex or competitive.
A fair note: These are just some of the best simple games that I have played and wanted to suggest. There can be many other good simple games, but I am leaving them for you to find out.
1. Brookhaven RP: Casual Town Roleplay
Brookhaven RP is a hugely popular social role-play game set in a modern suburban town. It stands out for its simplicity and freedom, there are no missions or objectives you must complete. New players can freely explore the town, drive vehicles, and role-play various occupations (police officer, doctor, etc.) at their own pace.
The game is extremely beginner-friendly: there is no in-game currency at all, and almost all items (houses, vehicles, tools) are available for free use. You get a backpack for tools and easy menus for selecting your house or changing your avatar’s outfit.

Brookhaven’s open-ended nature and lack of combat or competition make it a safe, stress-free environment for newcomers to Roblox. It’s essentially a virtual playground where you can “live” in a town and make up your own fun scenarios with friends or other players. With its massive popularity and ongoing updates (new vehicles, locations, etc.), Brookhaven is a great first game to experience the creative and social side of Roblox

2. Work at a Pizza Place: Fun Job Simulation
Another classic starter game is Work at a Pizza Place, a light-hearted job simulator where you… well, work at a pizza shop! This game has been around for a long time and remains a favorite.
In Work at a Pizza Place, you can take on different roles in the pizzeria, be a cashier taking orders, a cook adding toppings and baking pizzas, a delivery driver bringing pizzas to customers, or even the supplier stocking up ingredients. The cooperative element (all players are working together to run the restaurant) creates a fun, friendly atmosphere with no competitive pressure.

There is a currency (coins) you earn as your paycheck for doing jobs, but the system is very simple and not overwhelming. Coins can be used mainly to decorate your house in-game, but you’re not forced to engage in any complex economy.
3. Natural Disaster Survival: Survive the Scenarios
Natural Disaster Survival is a classic round-based game that’s perfect for beginners who want a bit of excitement without complicated mechanics. Each round, players are transported to a simple map (like a building, an island, a tower, etc.), and shortly after, a random disaster strikes, it could be a tornado, volcanic eruption, flood, meteor shower, sandstorm, and so on. Your goal is simply to survive until the disaster ends.
There are no weapons, no crafting, and no complex stats, you just run, climb, or find shelter in the map to avoid harm. For example, in a fire you move away from flames, in a flood you get to high ground, in a tornado you avoid flying debris. The simplicity of the objective (just stay alive) makes it very easy to understand.

Players must survive up to 13 various disasters across 23 preset maps, which are spawned each round on an island in the ocean. Rounds only last a minute or two, and if your character dies you simply become a spectator until the next round starts (usually only a brief wait).

4. Hide and Seek Extreme: Classic Hide & Seek Game
If you know how to play hide-and-seek in real life, you’ll understand Hide and Seek Extreme immediately. This game is a Roblox twist on the childhood classic, set in creative oversized maps (like a giant kitchen, backyard, store, etc.) where hiders are miniaturized and can use the environment to hide.
At the start of each round, one player is randomly chosen as “It” (the seeker), and their job is to find all the other players within the time limit. The hiders get a short period to run and hide somewhere on the map, using ladders, teleports, or simply crouching behind objects to evade the seeker.

Controls are very simple, you mostly just run and jump. The seeker (“It”) has a slight speed boost and a couple of special abilities (for example, the default “It” can place a glue trap to slow players), but you don’t need to master those to enjoy the game.
5. Epic Minigames: Variety of Easy Mini-Games
Epic Minigames is a fantastic choice for beginners because it offers over a hundred simple mini-games in one place. This game is essentially a constantly cycling playlist of short challenges and mini-games, each with different rules but all very easy to learn. One round you might be dodging obstacles, the next you could be chopping wood the fastest, and another round you might be in a team pushing a ball into a goal. The rounds are only 30 to 90 seconds each, so if you fail one game, no worries, a new mini-game (with a completely different activity) will start shortly.
Epic Minigames requires no tutorial because before each round, a simple instruction pops up (e.g. “Avoid the avalanches!” or “Score goals against the other team!”). The controls are usually just the basic movement keys and maybe one action button, depending on the mini-game. When you win a minigame, you earn some points/coins, which you can spend on fun cosmetic items like pets, effects, or titles, but these are purely optional and just for show.

Importantly, there’s no complex economy or advantage-granting items; everyone competes on equal footing each round. Epic Minigames is great for trying out different genres in bite-sized form, one moment it’s a racing game, next a survival game, then a cooperation game, etc.

6. LOCOfficial: Digital Card Game Fun
This is Roblox version of popular UNO game. LOCOOfficial is an unofficial but well-made adaptation of Mattel’s UNO card game, and it’s one of the simplest games you can play on Roblox, perfect for newcomers, including those who might not be into typical video games.

If you’re not familiar with UNO, the rules can be learned in minutes: players take turns playing colored number cards from their hand to match the discard pile, using action cards (Skip, Reverse, Draw Two, etc.) when applicable, and the goal is to be the first to play all your cards. Roblox Uno faithfully recreates this gameplay. You can play solo against NPC bots or play with friends and other online players.

7. Speed Run: Simple Obstacle-Running Challenge
Obby games (short for obstacle courses) are very common in Roblox, and Speed Run is a classic obby/platformer that’s often recommended for beginners. The premise is right in the name: you run and jump at high speed through a series of levels, trying to reach the end of each course without falling.
Speed Run has around 30+ levels (maps) of increasing difficulty, each with a unique theme and music. The controls are simple, your character automatically sprints, and you use the jump button to clear gaps or obstacles.

There is a lightweight progression system (you earn some “stars” or cash as you complete levels which can buy cosmetic trails or effects), but you can ignore that entirely and focus just on beating the courses. For an even more beginner-friendly platformer, you could try Mega Easy Obby (which has 600+ very easy stages to jump through, as a casual way to practice obby jumps).

8. Super Bomb Survival: Chaotic Survival Fun
The premise of this game is extremely simple and completely spelled out in its title: you and other players are dropped into an arena-like map, and bombs literally fall from the sky, you must run around and survive until the round ends. That’s it! The bombs come in all varieties like TNT blocks, missiles, mines, etc. causing explosions that can destroy the terrain.
The rounds are a few minutes long and are fast-paced and chaotic, but in a cartoonish, silly way (no gore or anything, just explosions and physics). No weapons or complex controls are needed; you just move, jump, maybe dodge or seek cover. Even if you get “oofed” by a bomb, it’s fun to watch the destruction while waiting for the next round. As bombs blow up the map, holes appear in the ground (eventually exposing lava below), so you have to keep moving and adapting to the collapsing terrain.

Super Bomb Survival also gives players some optional “skills” or abilities (like a short flying leap, or a bomb kick), which you can unlock using coins earned from surviving rounds. However, beginners don’t need to worry about that at first, the default character can survive just fine by running around. One of the great things noted by the creator is that “losing isn’t bad” in this game, even if you don’t win a round, you still earn some points, so everyone feels rewarded and motivated to keep playing.

9. Scuba Diving at Quill Lake: Chill Exploration Adventure
If you prefer a calmer, exploration-based game with no competition at all, Scuba Diving at Quill Lake is a hidden gem on Roblox that’s perfect for beginners who want to play at their own pace. In this game, you are a scuba diver exploring the tranquil waters of Quill Lake, searching for treasures and secrets underwater. It’s an open-world exploration game where the core gameplay is simply swimming around, finding interesting caves, artifacts, and coins.

The challenge comes from needing certain gear to access some areas (for example, you might need to find or buy an upgraded oxygen tank to dive deeper, or a flashlight for dark caves). But the game introduces these elements slowly and they feel natural, as you collect treasure, you can purchase better diving equipment to unlock new regions.
The atmosphere is serene and relaxing, with beautiful underwater scenery and music.

10. Fashion Famous: Creative Dress-Up Contest
Fashion Famous is essentially a dress-up contest game. How it works: each round, a theme or category is given (for example, “Summer Vacation” or “Spooky Costume”). All players then have a few minutes to run around a virtual wardrobe salon and dress up their Roblox avatar to match the theme as best as possible. There are tons of clothing items, hairstyles, and accessories available to choose with a click, and don’t worry, it’s all free during the dress-up phase, you’re just temporarily trying on any outfit you want. When time’s up, everyone’s avatars walk the runway one by one, and players rate each outfit out of 5 stars.
At the end, the game tallies the votes and announces the winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd place). The objective is “to get the most points for your outfit, based on the players’ votes, and win first place.”. Fashion Famous has a light currency where winning gives you some “money” (or points) to unlock fancier catalog items, but beginners have plenty of options by default to enjoy their first rounds without any purchases.

There’s no aggressive competitiveness; it’s more about creativity and fun. In fact, many kids (and players of all ages) love this game because it lets them express themselves with outfits and see others’ funny or cool interpretations of the theme.

Conclusion
These ten games are excellent starting points for anyone new to Roblox. None of them require extensive tutorials or Roblox experience, you can hop in and have fun right away. Moreover, we made sure to include a variety of genres: from role-playing in a city, to cooperative work, survival, party mini-games, card games, obstacle courses, action, exploration, and creative contests. As a beginner, this variety will help you get a taste of what Roblox has to offer.
